Daisy was originally The Daisy, a regular ol’ non-sentient spaceship. But when Michelle’s design (based on actual flower anatomy) came out looking, at certain angles, like an adorable Pokémon, it was clear we had something special on our hands.
Still, several development meetings had to devolve into high-pitched Daisy-talk before we’d decide to drop the The and make her a person. Easily the best change to come from our collaboration, and it never would have happened if Michelle hadn’t drawn that little heart.
